Reflections on 1 Thessalonians
In this lengthy essay, I have provided both a full translation of the Greek text of 1 Thessalonians and reflections on key points in Paul's letter and the evangelical work it represents. I have also provided some background about the world of Thessalonika in Paul's time. If you are interested in how Paul founded and grew churches and how he interacted with his congregations, I think you will find this worth the read. It would also provide good background for a more detailed study of this letter, or a starting place for a study of apocalyptic writing in the New Testament. I've divided it into five parts for easier reading. So get some coffee and put your feet up!
